The AI Shipyard · General cohort

Learn AI by studying how we built AI operating systems for real clients.

Most courses teach you on fake projects. The Shipyard walks you through real AI systems we built for real clients — real stakes, real decisions, real mistakes and fixes, documented in full. Then you rebuild them yourself, in a context you choose, and walk away with proof you can do the work.

The problem

“Watch a tutorial, build a toy project” doesn’t get you hired.

You’ve done the courses. You’ve followed along building the same to-do app as everyone else. And you still can’t answer the question that actually matters in an interview: have you done this on something real?

The gap between “I watched a tutorial” and “I’ve shipped this for a real client” is the entire game. Almost nobody lets you close it without already having the job. The Shipyard does.

How it works

Study a real build. Rebuild it yourself. Get reviewed.

01

Study a real client build, start to finish

Walk through a completed AI operating system we built for a real client: the brief, the design decisions, the mistakes and fixes, the full documentation. Nothing edited out.

02

Rebuild it in your own context

Rebuild the system for a context you choose — your current job, a business you run, a startup idea, or an invented company — with live guidance and Slack support.

03

Submit for review, earn a credential

A working practitioner reviews your build against a real standard. Leave with a portfolio project, documentation, and a credential that reflects doing, not just studying.

The six weeks

Four weeks of live build reviews. Two weeks building your own.

Weeks 1–4

Live build reviews

Weekly live sessions walking through a completed client build: the problem, the design, the Claude Cowork skills, the docs. Recorded if you miss one.

Alongside

Companion guide + sample pack

Practice each skill between sessions with sample data and sample documents. Study guides for every session.

Weeks 5–6

Build your own

Rebuild the system in your context with Slack support from the Aspireship team and your cohort.

Finish

Review and credential

Submit your build for practitioner review. Leave with a portfolio project, documentation, and a credential.

Why this works

Real experience, without needing the job first.

Watch someone competent do the real thing, then do it yourself with them nearby. Until now, you needed to already have the job to get in the room. The Shipyard puts you in the room.

What you leave with

— A working AI system you built, in your own context

— Full project documentation, start to finish, nothing edited out

— Hands-on fluency with Claude Cowork, the platform we use throughout the program

— Feedback from working practitioners on your own work

— A credential that reflects doing, not just studying

— A cohort of people learning alongside you — your first professional network in AI

Who it’s for

You don’t need to be an engineer.

Career-changers who need real experience but can’t get hired without it.

Working professionals who want to actually build with AI, not just talk about it.

Founders, consultants, and solo operators who want systems that run parts of the business.

Students seeking real-world experience without needing to land an internship first.

You need a willingness to study closely and build independently. That’s it.
